VASAT Learning Resources
You will find here a large number of learning resources. They have been developed by institutional members of VASAT coalition through a peer-mediated review process.
Our goal is to enable the rural families and their trusted local organizations to make use of them through a process of adaptation. This is necessary to make it relevant and effective in the local milieu. You are welcome to use the learning resources an unlimited number of times with attribution. Some of you familiar with the Creative Commons approaches can interpret this as an offer under CC non-commercial attribution license 2.5.
These modules are meant to support building natural resource literacy among rural women and men. Many of them have not had the level of class room learning opportunities that some of us have been privileged to have. This is why our designers have followed the granule-of-learning approach. Every module is split into granules most of which will have a definite learning outcome. We are documenting this use in the rural milieu and you are welcome to join us in this effort too.
The learning resources are presented in whole and as granules in PPT (R) or Flash(R) formats. Most authors find it easy to use one of them. We are adding gradually HTML format in every granule. We are also adding SCORM-tagged ZIP files. They can be used in a standard Learning Management System, such as Moodle. |
